How much does a TEFL course at TEFL Madrid cost?
Courses for EU citizens start at €1,500, or €1,700 with the TEFL Activities Pack. Visa routes for non-EU citizens are €3,900 — including the 120-hour TEFL course, Spanish classes and one year of student-visa support — or €4,300 with the Activities Pack. Self-paced online TEFL starts at €400. For the €3,900 Spanish Immersion programme, you pay €800 to reserve, €1,100 before the course and €2,000 once your visa is approved. Accommodation is separate. Check the individual programme page for current payment terms.
When can I start a TEFL course?
You can start any month of the year. We run flexible monthly intakes, and the online and live 1-to-1 courses can begin any week. Pick your preferred month above and we confirm availability within 24 hours.
Which TEFL course should I choose?
It depends on your passport and goals: a non-EU visa route to live in Spain, an EU no-visa certification, an online or live 1-to-1 course you can take from anywhere, or an advanced/specialisation course if you’re already certified. Use the route finder above to see the right options.
Do I need a visa to do a TEFL course in Spain?
Your route depends on your nationality, existing immigration status and intended stay. EU citizens do not need a Spanish student visa; residence in another EU country is not the same as EU citizenship. Visa programmes include application support, with approval decided by the relevant authorities. Before choosing an intake, read our USA moving guide or UK moving guide and confirm your route, documents and application timing with admissions.
Is the TEFL certification internationally recognised?
Recognition depends on the programme and the employer's requirements. Our catalogue includes 120-hour TEFL courses, a 168-hour self-paced Level 5 course and 20-hour advanced or practicum options. These are different training formats, not one identical 120-hour qualification. Check the individual course page for its certificate, duration and entry requirements, and contact admissions to confirm suitability for your teaching plans.
