Payment Installments

The comprehensive fee for the Visa course is €3400 without the activity pack, and €3700 with the activity pack included. These fees are payable in 2 or 3 installments:

  • An initial installment of €800 is required upon acceptance into the course, payable to our partnering school to secure your placement.
  • The balance of €2800 is payable to TEFL Madrid Academy either in full or via two installments of €1400 each.
  • A payment of €1400 is necessary to commence the legal process for visa application support, including issuing an official acceptance letter. This is due immediately or at least two months prior to your consulate appointment to ensure timely receipt.
  • The final payment must be completed upon visa approval and before departure to Spain, without exceptions.

Payment Methods

TEFL Madrid Academy facilitates the following payment methods:

  • PayPal: An additional fee of €45 per €1400 payment will be included in your invoice.
  • Direct Bank Transfer: Free of charge.

All payments are processed in Euros. For bank transfers, your bank will provide the current exchange rate. The PayPal fee is applied due to the high costs associated with PayPal transactions. We offer a cost-free alternative for your convenience. To avoid additional fees, we recommend selecting direct bank transfer.

Deposits

All deposits are non-refundable unless a visa denial occurs due to issues with our accreditation. In such instances, a full refund is issued within 5 working days upon receipt of a consulate’s rejection letter.

Payment Completion

Full payment of course fees is required 7 days before the course begins. Failure to comply may result in being barred from the course until payment is made, potentially necessitating enrollment in a later session and incurring transfer fees.

Cancellation, Transfers, and Withdrawal

  • Students may transfer to a later course date, with a maximum of two transfers allowed.
  • Refunds for the Visa Course are processed only if visa denial is confirmed by the consulate, with official documentation required.
  • TEFL Madrid Academy verifies visa status with the consulate to prevent fraud.
  • A cancellation fee of €300 is charged for administrative costs, with no exceptions.
  • Transfer fees may apply, with no fee for transfers notified 15 or more days in advance and a €100 fee for less notice.
  • For illness or unforeseen circumstances, course transfers are allowed with timely notification to the Director of Studies (DOS). Fees apply for late notifications.

Refunds and Withdrawals

  • Students withdrawing less than four weeks before the course start are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • No refunds are available for withdrawals within two weeks of the course start, but transfers to later courses are permitted.

Acceptance Letter

  • No acceptance letters are issued without a €1400 payment.
  • Letters are sent both digitally and via mail.
  • Postal delivery can take up to 30 workdays, with express delivery available at an additional cost.
  • Payment timing affects the posting schedule of acceptance letters.

It is crucial to ensure timely payment to receive your acceptance letter before your consulate appointment.

TEFL Madrid Academy is committed to transparency and fairness in our terms and conditions, ensuring a clear understanding of our payment, refund, and course transfer policies for all students.

TEFL Madrid Academy’s Equal Opportunity Policy

Objective:

  • To champion the principle of inclusion within our academy for everyone.
  • To provide equal opportunities for all students and staff, regardless of age, gender, religion, race, origin, or culture.
  • To ensure our expectations, attitudes, and practices align with full inclusion.
  • To guarantee equal respect and inclusion for all staff and students.

Our goal is to offer equal opportunities to all students, regardless of their age, gender, race, origin, or culture. We aspire for every student to achieve their full potential while with us. Thus, we are committed to ensuring that our expectations, attitudes, and practices do not prevent any student from achieving their potential. We will endeavor to reduce any biases or stereotypes and advocate for equality.

Gender Equality

Gender equality is recognized in the allocation/delegation of responsibilities and in acknowledging both staff and student achievements. Any gender-related issues that arise within or outside the classroom are addressed with sensitivity and discussed with the involved parties.

We will ensure no staff member is discriminated against on the basis of gender.

Race or Cultural Backgrounds

Our aim is to ensure students and staff from various ethnic groups, cultures, religions, and backgrounds receive equal opportunities and are not discriminated against, openly or covertly. Through our training, we take positive steps to foster mutual understanding and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Age

We strive to ensure students of different ages are not excluded from school activities solely because of their age. We will ensure all staff have equal opportunities within the academy regardless of age.

We Aim To:

  • Ensure all prospective students have equal opportunities to attend TEFL Madrid Academy.
  • Consider the cultural backgrounds of students and different learning styles.
  • Encourage all students to participate in all activities, both within the academy and in the cultural program and outside activities.
  • Ensure all materials are carefully selected to avoid stereotypes and discrimination.
  • Ensure the coordinator’s time, support, attention, and resources are equally provided to all students.
  • Encourage all students and staff to value each other and maintain peaceful working relationships both within the academy and in the community, based on mutual respect.
  • Students will be encouraged to learn and accept the cultural backgrounds and beliefs of others.
  • Students and staff will be encouraged to participate in cultural immersion activities that help promote a cohesive and respectful working environment.

Staff

Staff must support and uphold the statements set out in this policy and avoid discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, culture, or age.

Any issues arising concerning this policy will be directed to the Director of Studies, and the internal moderator will handle it as deemed appropriate. If additional training or guidance is required, it will be provided by TEFL Madrid Academy. If the situation is considered serious misconduct, it may be grounds for termination.

Program Prerequisites

While TEFL Madrid Academy and its staff will uphold the above policies, acceptance into the program requires an adequate level of English. This entails a C2 level or higher, and an interview will be conducted to ensure the applicant has a strong command of the language. As this is an English program, where we are training future English teachers, we must ensure we accept the most qualified candidates who can understand the course and become high-quality teachers capable of teaching the required material.
